While plenty of fad toys have had their moments in the sun before fading mercifully into the playroom twilight (Teddy Ruxpin, anyone?), the Care Bears have enjoyed a resurgence in their popularity in recent years. This cuddly Bedtime Bear features light blue fur, sleepy eyes, a pleasant moon and star bedtime pattern on his belly, and the ever-present heart-shaped nose. He also gives off a nice glow after being exposed to direct light. While the glow doesn't last all night, it's bound to be fun, and even reassuring to drowsy youngsters. Best of all for Mom and Dad, no batteries are required. --Charlie Williams
